The Calmare® device is an FDA-cleared and CE-certified medical device offering non-invasive treatment for chronic neuropathic and oncologic pain. Using surface electrodes, it delivers a “no-pain” signal designed to override pain signals to the brain. Calmare means “to soothe or ease” in Italian—an apt description for a treatment designed to provide relief without the side effects and addictive properties associated with narcotic painkillers.

How Calmare therapy works
Replacing the pain message with a “no-pain” signal
During treatment, surface electrodes are applied to the skin. The Calmare device uses a biophysical approach to transmit a “no-pain” message, replacing the pain signal and helping cancel the perception of pain. Relief may be immediate regardless of pain intensity, while maximum benefit is typically achieved through follow-up treatments based on the underlying cause and severity of pain.

Calmare treatment is non-invasive and painless, with the potential for immediate pain relief and ongoing pain control. It is intended to offer an option without the adverse side effects of opioids and other drugs.
